My Lochawk

I tried a loc mohawk (lochawk) for the first time and it came out pretty good!

High-pony with a twist

I put my hair in a high ponytail, but I left out a few locs in the front (on the left and right side of my head). I then crisscrossed the hair that was loose and wrapped the ends around my ponytail holder. I was done and out the door in 5 minutes. :)

New style

I am a Youtube hair video sytle stalker. Lol. I love to watch differen loc videos and attemp the styles. This style was quick and very simple. I think I may have taken me 10 or 15 minutes to do. I washed my hair then braided it while it was wet. I put the braids in a high ponytail. Then I wrapped the locs (some going forward and some going backwards) around my ponytail holder and mad a bun. Then I stuck a shell in it and I was out the door.

I tried something a little different with my basket weave.

Hair Sticks

I ordered a few hair sticks on Ebay. They were not was expensive as I thought they would be and they look fantastic!

 

I saw a video on how to make a simple french roll and I figured I'd give it a shot. I tried the french roll yesterday morning. It took me less than 10 minutes to do the french roll and it came out good. I think I have about 6 hair pins in my hair and the style held all day yesterday. I wrapped it with a doorag last night and it help up perfectly!

I saw a video on YouTube with this style. I parted the front of my hair into a 4 sections (left, right, center, and back). and I did a basket weave for the left, right, and center sections. I then pulled the 3 sections back and used the loose hair in the back and did a basket weave in the back. I think it came out pretty good.

New Addition to the Family

Hubby and I adopted a dog from a local kill shelter last Thursday. He is a 2 year old Rat Terrier and his name is Zeus. He is a little underweight at 9.1lbs, but we'll fatten him up a little.

New Color

So I decided I would dye my hair a little darker. Now it is warm mocha.

Here is a photo after a fresh wash. It's also getting longer and I am loving the length!

I decided to get my Locs styled...the style came out great.

Freshly washed locs

I dyed my hair again last week. I love the Dark and Lovely line of hair dye. This time I went with Golden Bronze. I'll post pictures of my new color ASAP.

Another Style

I spent the day with my honey and decided to go with a new style.

I found this style on a youtube...it took less than 10 minutes.

I added a few shells to my longest locs for decoration (you can't see them in the photo).

This was a quick, easy, cute style...

Pipe Cleaner Curls

 

I took the pipe cleaners out of my hair. Above are picture of what my hair looked like on day one. It is candy curlish. The curls in the back are not as tight as I had hoped for, but I like them. I'm pretty sure I'll try this style again in the future.
