I'm blessed! I've been with the man I love for 10 years...today is our 4 year wedding anniversary. I couldn't be happier.
Hubby had an eddible arrangement delivered...happy times!
Ok...I am on week 2 of using JBCO. I have been using it on my roots and edges 3 times a week. So far I haven't really noticed any changes.
Yesterday I shampooed my locs as normal. After my shampoo, I applied JBCO to my edges and my roots. Here is a picture of what my edges look like on day 1 of using JBCO. I read that it is good to apply JBCO 3 times a week. I'll give it a couple of weeks and I'll post an updated picture and we'll see if there are any changes.
I keep hearing a lot of people talk about their loc routines. I have been hearing about Jamaican Black Castor oil (JBCO) and have decided to give it a shot. I will wash my hair tonight an take a photo of what my edges look like on day 1.
I can't believe it!!! I finally made 5 years locked!! I love my Sisterlocks more and more every day. My only regret is that I didn't start them sooner. :) I am looking forward to what this year brings.
Hubby and I went out for the night. I did a quick cute style and we were out of the door. I braided the front in 5 braids then put the back in a bun. I posted a smilar style in 2010. The only real diference this time is my bun is much larger and I used a thin net to round my bun instead of a scrunchie.
I tried a new dye tonight. I was a little nervous because I normally use the Dark and Lovely band hair dyes. The dye is Clairol Balsam color. The dye was actually MUCH cheaper than Dark and Lovely and I'd heard from a few people that it was a great product. The color is medium bronze brown. So far it looks a little darker than I expected, but it is still soaking wet...we'll see in the morning. I will post some photos tomorrow. :)
I put my hair in a high ponytail, but I left out a few locs in the front (on the left and right side of my head). I then crisscrossed the hair that was loose and wrapped the ends around my ponytail holder. I was done and out the door in 5 minutes. :)
I am a Youtube hair video sytle stalker. Lol. I love to watch differen loc videos and attemp the styles. This style was quick and very simple. I think I may have taken me 10 or 15 minutes to do. I washed my hair then braided it while it was wet. I put the braids in a high ponytail. Then I wrapped the locs (some going forward and some going backwards) around my ponytail holder and mad a bun. Then I stuck a shell in it and I was out the door.
